Bayiruchi:
Bayiruchi' roughly translates to taste buds in English. It is my simple food blog sharing recipes that I have tried and tested and my
other culinary experiences. I created it with an intention to keep all
the recipes that are loved by me and my family at one place hence I call
it my cookbook. I decided to publish it with an intention to
connect with like minded people, food lovers and other bloggers so I can
improve this space. I am happy to receive your suggestions/comments.
Who am I?
My name is Asha, a Kannadiga (from the Indian state - Karnataka) living in City of lions - Singapore. I was born in a beautiful place of Udupi District in coastal Karnataka and raised in North Karnataka. So my posts reflect the combination of north and coastal Karnataka dialects, food and traditions. My mother loves to cook and she always made all the tasty and healthy dishes at home although all the restaurant style food was just a phone call away from my father's restaurant.
I started learning cooking
pretty much after college when the situation demanded it and learnt it mostly from my mother, internet and now my mother in law(after wedding). I am not
an expert chef, I just keep trying new recipes and keep experimenting with
my food. There is a lot to learn and I want to keep this blog updated in my cooking journey so all my recipes are at one place.
Look out for:
I grew up eating home cooked coastal Karnataka food and north karnataka delicacies that remain the base of my blog. You can look out for mostly Indian dishes (vegetarian, Jain food, non vegetarian) deserts and some baked goodies.
